Its not bad At All. Even if there was no other version, with all the new releases and some artists promoting their singles it would fallen too. At least this way the explicit is compensating the sales, even a bit higher + we get more streams. And radio is continuing growing fast.

If its true that she will put album/2nd single on pre-order at the night of the VMAs. Maybe they're waiting for the 25th or whenever to announce that she will also perform her 2 singles at the show.

Well, even if the explicit does affect GFY's longevity, with a 1989 performance (?) and a VMA performance (?) it will repeak, and hopefully go Top 5, I don't have that much hope for Top 3, maybe if she had promoted earlier on, we'll see. But anyway, after that she can release SOL and be done with GFY, so I doubt it matters much. Maybe they released it just for extra sales, or on the off chance GFY did start decreasing when they planned to take advantage of its position and promote, so it would have something to fall back on

Tom Cruise (not sure how he's involved exactly) somehow accidentally revealed that The Weeknd would be performing, so MTV went ahead and announced it. The Nicki performance is still unannounced, though it was also leaked by a short promo spread for her new single, "Trini Dem Girls"

Technically, if the original plan was followed, not a single performer would have been announced by now.
