Lol she actually dropped about 4 spaces. And she has a lot more material to be counted than him, singles wise and albums wise so of course she is going to be higher. The fact that she has over 20 more singles than him and 7 more albums than him yet, can't even pull of 5 spaces higher than him on here... That's not a good thing but celebrate I guess.

She didn't even crack Top 20 for the year and barely made Top 2000 on overall ranking (will be out of Top 2000 after next update anyway). She was always lightly acclaimed. And she still is. The illusion of her being super acclaimed still persists though which you prove with your post.

Pst Sounds is an incredible album. Completely deserving of being the GOAT. I mean, God Only Knows alone ...

How can any of you guys take this list seriously ?

Even tho Gaga is ranked pretty high on the overall, I still don't take it seriously. Like it cannot be any messier and filled with ********.

You can't have an artist with 1 album being higher on the overall list than someone with at least 4 acclaimed albums

But acclaim comes in different forms, no ?

In my opinion Grammys are also acclaim. So are VMAs etc.

Legends and other people from the industry praising an artist is also acclaim.

Even the success itself is acclaim in a way.

Not exactly (and u know I stan for ha). She has the most amount of acclaimed material out of any female artist, which is what this list represents.

But acclaimedmusic.net is not a representation of their OVERALL discography, only the acclaimed output, because it does not take panned or middling albums and tracks into consideration. If you were to add the American Lives and MDNAs into the equation it would bring her down, certainly below some others like Joni Mitchell and Bjork who have never had a panned album. It's also worth noting others like Aretha would also drop a lot because they have 10,000 albums out (that was the norm back then), many of which are totally forgotten and not acclaimed.

But a list like that would probably be impossible anyway because few make "worst albums of the year" lists, much less "most middle of the road albums of the year" lists, so this is pretty much the best we have.

She would be if this were a list that took non-acclaimed material into consideration, because Fiona's output is so consistent. She just doesn't have enough to make a list like this, which favours artists with more material.

MDNA is not critically panned tho.American Life is her only critically panned album.
