I agree tbh, even more so than Hermione. It just seems like Luna was always able to save Harry from his own pain or comfort him when his closest friends couldn't.
Like honestly, I don't see it working out that well for him and Ginny but ok.
Anyone else feel like JK was playing it safe by not having a gay student in the books (not the films as there was no room for an extra story line) with all the relationships happening, it would've been nice to at least see one of the secondary student characters come out of the closet
Hogwarts is our home, but if given the chance I'd like to go for Beauxbatons Academy
Ravenclaw house>>
I want a Pegasus patronum
I wish my wand had Unicorn hair
and Draco Malfoy is hot, I could use some of his Slytherin
oh and when I was a kid, I have always thought Harry would end up with Hermione
One thing I really missed was the Ginny-Harry reationship in HBP. Like they literally kissed once and she tied his shoe that's their lovelife...
I need it now too tbh, but its never goning happen while J.K is around (not saying she will be dead in 20 years, but its her baby and i doubt she would let it go into the hands of other people again) and the films are still so fresh in peoples memories.

I don't like how J.K. Rowling paired characters tbh.
And the name of the kids in the end?
I feel like she was just kinda trying to sort of make up for killing so many iconic and favourite characters

Molly killing Bellatrix is one of the biggest injustices in the book and film
I mean Bellatrix was trained by Voldemort in addition to being a crazy bitch, she should've and could've snatched Molly easily. McGonagall vs. Bellatrix would've been much more interesting.
Molly was a member of the order of the Phoenix though, a group set up to rival the death eaters + Molly was fighting to protect her children and as is stated through-out the books Love wins over sheer power and greed.

Crabbe and Goyle down in the Slytherin dungeons...
It's a ****ing brilliant universe and I'm so glad JK is keen to expand upon it and keep it alive beyond the books. Some authors are very against that.
In terms of the films, I'd agree than HBP was a weak link. Very much a transitional film. Wasn't fussed by that though as generally I don't think the films come even close to rivalling the magic of the books. A lot of it is to do with the casting of the kids - they just aren't good actors. I just couldn't connect with so many of them - the Weasley twins and Ginny being the worst.
But, to be fair, it's tricky to cast children who will be good actors later on. So much of it was clearly based on looking the part and being comfortable on screen.
I have to say - although I think they completely decimated Ron's character in the movies, Grint is actually the strongest performer of the three overall IMO.

They could have easily done it with Seamus and Dean.

In reality, I think that would have come across as a calculated stunt. The books didn't really touch on most secondary characters lives unless it served plot purpose. We saw with Dumbledore that she had certain characters pegged as gay, but it just wasn't relevant to mention explicitly.
However, I think it'd be incredibly interesting to explore young Dumbledore's life, including being a gay wizard. I can totally see a film or TV series working because he's such an interesting character to begin with, and his being gay isn't the thrust of the story - therefore won't scare people off for being 'a gay film'.

Those two were actually the two I had in mind, it seemed so obvious to lead that way but it kinda just...halted halfway through the books as if JK changed her mind

True I suppose. It just seems so anti-climatic, arguably the most bloodthirsty character in the whole HP universe being killed by a housewife.
