I'm bisexual and I'd say no. Are most people capable of being sexually attracted to both men and women to a degree? Yeah, probably. But being bisexual is more than that. I don't think people should identify as bi unless they feel they're capable of being emotionally, romantically, and sexually satisfied by both sexes. Lots of people think because they're willing to be with the same sex for a night it makes them bisexual. But they don't really desire it, not even close to how much they desire an opposite sex relationship. That isn't bisexuality to me, it's disingenuous. I'm speaking from a purely female perspective though. I know bisexual men are in a bit of a different boat.

I don't know about everybody but I think a lot of "straight" people would "go gay" if they felt either close enough to a member of the same sex or if they just wanted to get off bad enough.

Like, I have no attraction to any female. Can't stand them. But I would get with one to get me off if the need ever arose. I mean love and attraction are funny things. I have a straight guy friend and he uses kissy emojis at me sometimes and like while I know it's not right to call it "gay" but like it's just not something I see a straight guy doing but every person is different and I love when people go against the grain. I think that the need for sex is greater than the idea people have of themselves

I think everyone is born bisexual but it is a mix of both nature vs. nurture which shapes sexuality. I identify as straight but that doesn't mean I'm not open to the idea if the right guy were to come along. I think the fact that there is a spectrum just goes to show that everyone IS bisexual but to a degree. You may be 0% bisexual today but next month that could change to 15%, and then the month after back down to 2%. Sexuality is definitely fluid. That is because the brain is constantly changing. I believe if a straight guy pushed himself to think about guys as being sexually attractive often enough then over time it would become easier and easier for him to get turned on by them. Just as meditation or learning an instrument changes the brain, anything we learn and focus on during our daily routines constantly shapes us and how we think. If you push yourself to like something enough then eventually you will. Nothing is set in stone.

In my opinion yes. I don't have any scientific evidence to back this up, so I could be wrong, but this is just based on my observations in real life, a "spectrum" of sexuality explains a lot of what I see. Whilst going under the idea that sexuality is like a switch, gay or straight, it leaves a lot of question marks as so many people don't behave in this way.

I think a lot of the people who say they're 100% straight are really 95-100%+ straight. For example, in a person who's really 98% straight, there's so little attraction to the same sex that it basically doesn't register with them, so it basically SEEMS to them like they are 100% straight, and for all intents and purposes, they might as well be.
