No lies told on either count. Bey has always been open about her admiration for and shown love to the women that came before her. Her defense of Mariah during the turn on her in the Glitter era just made me think of when they let those kids make a disrespectful joke about Lauryn at the BET awards and she lowkey read them over it when she got on stage to speak shortly afterward.
