I used to work at a 7-11 gas station a few years back.. There were a few homeless guys that would go there and I remember all the customers complaining about them.


Also it's disgusting how much good food those type of companies throw away. They throw away perfectly good sandwiches, burritos etc etc. that they could donate. All that food last about 2 weeks after their exp date.

It's crazy how they rather throw away the food than to give it away.. but this is how these businesses think.

sorry for going off topic, just what you said about homeless people reminded me of that situation.

I know, like if you see someone in need, talk to them, if you have some extra food, DONT THROW IT AWAY, give it to them. Places like Burger king just throw out extra food when it can be used for someone homeless.

I get sometimes nervous at the idea of giving homeless people food because it can come across as patronizing for some, and I've seen negative reactions from homeless people being given food/coats. A business has no excuse tho.

What does it matter?

I would do it every now and then. The only major reason why I sometimes wouldn't is because then they expected it all the time and would sometimes go ask a different employee and say "x employee gave it to me the other night" thus getting that employee in trouble. I would always tell them. Come in only when I'm here.
