I play!! I take lessons at a music store nearby, so that's a little more expensive than say learning online, but I love it. The first songs you learn are really easy and then over time if you keep up with practicing you can play almost anything. I look up any song I want on http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/ and it's usually there. I can spend hours on this site lol. Playing guitar (or any instrument) is a great pass time and stress reliever.

If only there's somewhere nearby who offer guitar lessons, I would take it. I think I'd learn easily and would take everything seriously since I'll spend money on it.

I do too! I learned how to play by myself when i was 13 and I played everyday since. Idk how I taught myself but I was just ****ing around and I somewhat got a melody going lol. Thankfully my dad has 3 guitars (2 acoustics and one electric) so I thankfully didn't have to buy any.
The first song I learned how to play was Miley Cyrus' song '7 Things' because that song was my anthem when I was younger and i was obsessed so yeah lol. Tbh with me, I just naturally just started messing around and going online for tips here and there.

Please remember how you taught yourself and teach me.

edit: I initially learned by myself by ear. but then learning by ear could only take me so far so I took a part time job at a cafe and would pay for guitar lessons and now im pretty kick ass tbh (if I may say so myself lol) ;p

Im starting to learn to play actually, (started like a month ago or so when I got my first cheap guitar) First i used
an App called Guitar Tuna, and now I'm taking clases in a local store; I'm also learning to play Piano.

It takes time, but you need to hold on and keep practicing (I'm a newbie too so).

i learn by myself. i´ve been learning to play "big love" by lindsey Buckingham for 6 months but i still haven´t play it well

Like november said, ultimate-guitar is very useful when learning specific songs! Also Songsterr.com is a good website, it shows you the tabs along the music so it's very entertaining.

My first guitar was a random acoustic one
Then I got an Ibanez that was some sort of 'starter kit', it came with a little amp, headphones, a tuner, etc.
Then, some years later, I got a Schecter Synyster Custom
