I really didn't think he'd make it far. I was hoping that he'd get the Republican nomination by some miracle and then lose pitifully because it makes no sense for him to get anywhere near the White House. But coming within shot of some of the Democratic leaders? Have we as a country become insane?

It's not that bad. Ignore the polls. The two main reasons these polls are stupid is that...

1) The sample size is not reflective of the people who will go out and vote when it's all said and done. (see #3)
2) We still have a whole year of nonsense to happen that could change all these polls numbers and candidates.
3) These polls don't include (enough of) the 35 and under, and minorities who will go out to vote on election day. Those people will make the difference whether they go out to vote, or not.

He won't win no matter what. Every Democrat, minority, liberal etc. is gonna come out of the woodwork to vote for Hilary if he manages to get a Republican nomination.

I think the only problem with this theory is that if Bernie snatches Hilary, the election will truly be far left versus far right. Some conflicted in the middle may not end up voting and it'll isolate a lot of people. That election may end up with Trump winning (or at least having a better chance). But I do agree with Trump vs Hilary, more people will go Hilary in a realistic scenario (I'd like to think).

It's a win or lose situation. If they vote for the Democrats the Republicans won't win. They are like the swing states.

Blacks always go democratic that's their mainstay. If the blacks don't vote then that hurts them because why would a president listen to their needs if they don't vote? And they aren't going Republican anytime soon. Unlike the Latino vote which can go Republican.

he won't win. the people who respond to these polls really don't represent the entire population because a lot of them are extreme because those are mostly the only people that care enough to answer the polls. they also don't poll different populations very well because they can only put so many people in each poll, which is why a lot of polls end up showing different things (think all of those polls they show on fox news where republicans are winning and then they lose the general election) besides that, he's just going to keep saying stupid things and losing more and more people and eventually he'll say something dumb enough that everyone will stop supporting him. it's really not worth worrying about.

that's the thing.. americans may really feel this way.. but there is nobody worse than him bc he would command the most powerful nation in the world. This is not North Korea or Turkey where dictators can do whatever they want.. Donald could indeed inflict war on Europe by going against Russia (and China).

Now that i have thought about it for 1 second, i hope he gets elected, because then Europe can unite fast and reverse the roles. EU, Russia and China could basically divide the world between each other while Donald combs his toupé.

Immigration reform is a much larger issue that just 'illegal immigrants'. If the US does not reform it's immigration policies then it can actually result in more illegals. But Trump is taking advantage of people's lack of knowledge in this area.

He will end up with no power and just will blab his mouth. The president can't declare war, he can't remove laws from the constiution he can't make laws.

You people from other countries fail to relize that the founders of America made laws to prevent any president or branch to have too much power. The president is virtually powerless against the Congress and supreme Court.

And let's not forget that if the government goes wrong, Americans do have right to arms to combat this. This too was put in law after the government did some crappy staff.
