Alanis Morissette to re-release 'Jagged Little Pill'
Quote:
Following the 20th anniversary of Alanis Morissette's landmark album Jagged Little Pill, the singer-songwriter will release a collector's edition of the LP, complete with unreleased demos and a full live concert from the year of its release.
The collection will be available via Rhino on October 30th.
The collector's edition will feature four discs, including a remastered version and previously released acoustic take on the LP. Disc Two of the collection contains 10 unreleased demos recorded before, during and after the album's release. The demos include "The Bottom Line," the first song Morissette wrote with the album's producer Glen Ballard.
Demo Disc track list:
"The Bottom Line"
"Superstar Wonderful Weirdos"
"Closer Than You Might Believe"
"No Avalon"
"Comfort"
"Gorgeous"
"King of Intimidation"
"Death of Cinderella"
"London"
"These Are the Thoughts"
I recall something like this from 2005. Didn't she re-release it then? I remember her being back on TV and on MTV Unplugged and changing Ironic to "man of my dreams and I'm meeting his beautiful husband" and stuff.
I can't wait until the 30th anniversary with even more "just-found" demos and remastered yet again, with heavy metal versions of the songs and a Blu-ray with all music videos.
