Artists who move more singles gets the most of everything now...

Ok but it's not like "dirty" or "cheating" like people in here are assuming. Just because a song is included in a playlist, it doesn't mean people are forced to listen to it. Nonetheless, these playlists are promo, not payola. No-one's paying people to play them, they're paying for their songs to be promoted by adding them to their playlists, it's not the same thing at all.

Payola would be paying for plays. We have VEVO now because people were illegally paying a computer firm in East Asia to continually refresh videos.

Paying for a song to be put on a playlist is called promotion. There is a HUGE difference.

How does one song get on the "New Songs" playlist? There has to be some push by the label to get it there, which doesn't seem abnormal or wrong.

People listen to these playlists? I tried, but they are just horrible (on Spotify and on Apple Music). Just put a little work in and make your own playlists.

I called it before. I follow a lot of huge playlists and when Shake It Off was released, it was added at the same time in all of them.
