It's not that far of a stretch from the truth. ''Born This Way'' did more bad than good to her brand despite being a successful album but everything about the era was really off putting to the GP, therefor her secluding everyone but her core fanbase.

The music and performances. The GP was over generic electropop, which is the case of the lead single, and didn't bother to listen to the album.

It's a bad album imo

It sold over 2million copies and had 2 hits, it was a success

The quality of the music and her image, I mean she will never outsell her previous album first week with artpop
