I think if it's an artist and you like there music, but they happen to be racist, that doesn't mean your racist. But say they are a politician pushing racist views or a cop that is racist towards citizens (I.e. Shooting a black man where he wouldn't shoot a white man) and you support him, yeah you are most likely racist

Depends what you mean by "support a racist."

If you're supporting their opinions or the racist things that they do / say, then yes, you're clearly a racist.

If you're financing the political campaign of a racist, or voting for that person, then you are heavily suspect.

If you're downloading a song by a racist? I wouldn't say so. Unless the song itself contains racist content...

By support I think actively defending their right to be a racist.

The former doesn't make you a racist. Maybe you're one of those fans who only care about the music and not the personality.

The latter undoubtedly makes you a racist. You wouldn't be friends with that person in the first place if you didn't have the same opinions on some essential topics.

I have relatives (including a parent) that say some prejudicial things (racist, sexist, homophobic, etc) and I just ignore it because I don't think that I'm in a position where I'm really able to respond.
