Seriously, first of all all older albums were discounted which is why is you see the immaculate collection so high. And how are you going to judge a single song being remembered by it's entire album sales? That makes no sense whatsoever.

At the end of the day we are talking about indiviual songs being remembered, and since Madonna and Cyndi both peaking in the video age it's fair comparison, and as much as it might hurt your little soul Cyndi's two songs might just be more remebered than anything Madonna has put out.

And it doesn't bother me at all lol that one hit wonder can have the youtube views, Madonna actually makes profit of her classics so I really doubt she cares.
but it's the bigger, more remembered song. More people own the song and the album, so streaming receipts against it are irrelevant. Girls Just Want To Have Fun is bigger than both, but that's because it's been used in every cruise ship commercial since 1985.
