Both of them leave so many people seething
Both of them receive hatred for their success
Both of them are discredited for anything/everything they do
Both of them tend to say crazy things occasionally
What do you think?

No one thought he would get this far and was dead on arrival. A lot of people didn't take him seriously. Yet here he is holding down the #1 spots.

Yes. Though it is obvious to many how ridiculous his policies are, there are a minority who still somehow support him. His hypocritical tendencies and backwards views of society are other prime examples that could support this comparison.
