The pre-show is mean't for small stars, not big ones that are nominated for a VMA like Nick. Why the pre-show and not the actual show?
In terms of solo success he's actually not a "big star". The mega success he experienced were with his brothers now that he's gone solo it's like starting all over again and there's nothing wrong with doing the pre-show. I mean look at Ariana, she did the pre-show with The Way and then the next year she blew up and Nick is doing an amazing job at promo and getting the GP to love him.
I can't believe I'm saying this but Fetty Wap deserves the win in this category. All three of those WGWG's will be one hit wonders and are nothing special. And I doubt FKA Twigs will get it
