I'm not choosing any sides, Jei-Boy is my best friend in real life.

But us Filipinos have been deeply rooted into Christian/Catholic fate, that it has became our intrinsic nature to abide by. So anything against it means immorality, and Filipinos are for sure very sensitive to religious topics.

But I'm probably one of the only, only few who chose to believe Buddhist principles, as I clearly am no longer enticed by Christianity. Questions after questions left unanswered, illnesses not healing up, and I refuse to believe that I was born this way because "God" has a plan for me.

The funny thing is that I actually know the boyfriend he's talking about. And he's right, that boyfriend of his was a creep, who I have been assuming to have either Aspergers or ADHD... Kind of reminds me about another member in here.

I remember watching something on National Geographic Channel when I was nine about the construction of the pyramids in Egypt. There was a theory that aliens themselves actually constructed the pyramids as it required a lot of strength, and they were linked to being God like in some way. I don't know, my mind is blurry and I can't recall it.

I will agree the way the boyfriend worded it sounded weird and a bit off so thats understandable. He can save that talk for the Creationism thread though (if there is one).

I fall somewhere between Agnostic and Unitarian Universalism; I believe there's a higher power, but I don't think any one religion is correct. People just need something to believe in to escape the suffering of our small earthly lives. I take whatever values strike a cord with me from any religion, they all aim to make you a better person anyways.
