Sound Check | August 16-22
For the week of August 16 - 22, 2015
Click on the screen-cap of the video to play the video.
As the summer winds down, this week on the SOUND CHECK TOP 20 we get closer to solidifying our annual Song of the Summer countdown. As the Weeknd's massive "Can't Feel My Face" made its first two weeks on the countdown worth the wait, the late, surging SoS contender seeks a third consecutive week at #1, which would be the first time that's happened since "Uptown Funk" ruled the countdown in January; plus it would become only the 2nd song to chart at #1 in its first three weeks on the countdown, with the only other being last year's "Blank Space." Diplo's two big summer hits, "Where Are Ü Now" and "Lean On" are both still very much in competition, and could knock the Weeknd from his perch. But perhaps "Can't Feel My Face"'s biggest competition comes from the Weeknd himself, whose own "The Hills" surged into the top 5 a week ago. Can "The Hills" unseat "Can't Feel My Face" for the Weeknd's second consecutive #1 video?
And as we say goodbye to Fifth Harmony, Sam Smith, Jess Glynne and Meghan Trainor, find out debuted in their place by checking out the countdown below.
1. Mark Ronson ft. Bruno Mars, "Uptown Funk" (6x)
2. Hozier, "Take Me To Church"

Sound Check | August 23-29
For the week beginning August 23, 2015
Click on the screen-cap of the video to play the video.
The Weeknd had two of the top 3 singles last week, including "Can't Feel My Face" scoring its third week at #1 and "The Hills" reaching a new peak at #3. Can the Weeknd reign be sustained, or will Major Lazer's breakout single "Lean On" score it's third week at the summit? Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, and Demi Lovato all are seeking to get on top of the countdown with their respective singles. Will either of the former child stars score a #1 with their grown-up new singles?
As we say goodbye to Taylor Swift, Zedd, Little Mix, Calvin Harris and 5 Seconds Of Summer, find out returned or debuted in their place by checking out the countdown below.
1. Mark Ronson ft. Bruno Mars, "Uptown Funk" (6x)
