I love DWUW to death and I think it's the much better song and that if the circumstances were different it would have had a shot at #1.
That said, BBHMM was undoubtedly bigger here. I heard it at parties, on the radio, at clubs etc. DWUW I think I heard on the radio once, and it was a crappy sped-up remix. But I also heard it at a nightclub in Paris and it gave me life. They played the bridge twice
