She is, and they definitely haven't parted.
Everyone around Jojo should have been looking for a route out of that contract long before 2013. It has been clear for the longest time that Blackground were awful and incompetent, and the album wasn't going to be released regardless of their promises. The loophole they exploited to sue Blackground could have been done in 2011 already. That it took her management so long to put this into motion is pretty shameful.
Also interesting that she said her people would be mad for saying that. I did remember reading that her settlement with blackground came with a non disclosure agreement.
I hope she'll sing the tringles!
Someone asked at my fan listening event why we never got the video and she said "I'm not sure really... I went out there and filmed it, so it wasn't my doing. To be completely straight up, they told me I looked fat in the video." and then she said something about how she might get in trouble with her people for saying that. I was so mad, I'm so glad she's finally on another label.
