You know what's funny about that VMA performance tho? If you look at her dancing, body, etc. all were ripped to shreds back in 07 but if someone like Katy Perry were to actually dance or do something on stage, she would be praised for it

And the fact that they can even be compared when one album was released during the act's worst point in her entire life and running on next to no promotion, while the other was promoted incessantly for months on end and specifically crafted to "be radio-friendly and do well on the charts" from the artist herself speaks volumes.
