Horrible choice. The Fool, Pierre, Stay Low, Sail On, and Free would all do better as singles.

Wanted Stay Low as 2nd single and Promises as 3rd but also this is awesome

Honestly think this is the best choice for a single.
Not sure why people think Pierre would do anything at all.
The Fool is good but not upbeat enough to be a breakout hit.
Free is also a decent single choice but, again, not breakout hit.

Hoping this will do okay for her.

Why did Octahate flop in the first? I seriously thought it would smash like Royals by Lorde.

One reason might be because they never really pushed it. She didn't even perform it on the one TV promo spot she had during album release week. It was only performed on TV once and that was a month before it was sent out to radio. After that the only thing they did was release a second video, which did help push the song up to the top 40 on Itunes, but after that they/Ryn just let it fall.

Wow. Smh! Did she even go on a radio promo tour?
