His music is like a virus there so I wouldn't be surprised. Him and Sam Smith have just become the albums that every 40 something mum just needs to have.
Of course Sam's next album is going to do 5x less like almost every UK act that has a huge debut era, but this is Ed's second album of huge success so his next one will probably sell at least 1m.
X isn't gonna outsell 21 in the UK, I think it's #2 thanks to huge streams rather than pure sales (although it's still selling well). Both albums are great though
