No. This song was much more uptempo (like 135 BPM I'm estimating) and actually sounded like a metal song with the instrumental. Just with a very pop structure and lyrics
It's corny to me. Confessions is like a mini-tribute to Kylie's career except it's just one era and the tour is very diverse and much better. Kylie's first 3 albums and then everything post-Impossible Princess is the same act. Not that that's bad! Some artists do the same thing they're whole career (Katy). But at least Kylie's good at it.
Hmmm pretty much true in that she's basically got three distinct career phases but did them all very well.
But! The Kylie + Garibay record will hopefully start to open another Kylie Renaissance for her now that she's not yet tied to a label. She could pull another Deconstruction Era this decade.
I mean, probably not - but it would be interesting.

Kylie will never be innovative again. The fact that she is releasing a Christmas album is proof that she is desperate for success. Not to mention she got burned badly by Impossible Princess flopping. There were insiders on her fan forum that posted, "She never learned her lesson from what she went through with IP" when she was recording Body Language. Well now she's unfortunately learned it because she hasn't been experimental since.
