Here, In Poland, Various Artists-albums are also popular. But here we have albums promted by radio stations like Radio Zet Best Hits, RMF.FM Best and so on.
they usually release them with spring, summer, autumn and winter (RMF FM Summer 2015 for example).

oh, there's also a very popular and respected journalist - Marek Niedźwiecki and he has set of albums called "Marek Niedźwiecki presents" and there's themed albums like polish music, french, 80s, 90s and many more.

This is true. I'm sure the vast majority of artists who are legends won't open with 300k or so 23 years into their careers.

I don't get how this J. Cole album has held up so well.  It's a great album, but he has no "Work Out" or "Power Trip" and those songs didn't do as much for their respective albums.
