In my opinion when you're opening up new games (old games don't count) you should only be able to have two at a time, and only one can be a Tournament. I know the rule right now is actually stricter (only one at a time) but obviously it's not enforced at all.

As a host though you shouldnt abandon your own survivor...it was never cute....See Remmy ..Lucky#17...wheres the dedication
In regards to prezli comment...For me I can manage my own survivors because Im dedicated in it And if you really wanna host an upcoming one..you must be perched for the official release date and make that reservation Just sayin.

Honestly, I don't think there should be a rule about hosting multiple TOURNAMENTS at once. Those are your own unique games that you hold the rights to. Who's to say I couldn't host Endurance and Let's Spoon at the same time? If I can handle it, then there should be no problem.
Album survivors are different, because multiple people could want a certain album's survivor.

I'm glad you guys seem to be on the save wave-length as me, because all the points raised so far are what I've been trying to get the other mods to agree to.
If you have anymore suggestions feel free to say in here, it would be good to get feedback from regulars.

It's not so much about whether the host can cope or not, it's more about trying not to oversaturate the Games section. For example with MC's and things people make loads of them and some often end up quite similar. Plus if somebody is running like 5 MC's, 3 album survivors and 2 tournaments, it's just a bit much.

And also people are only going to play so many Tournaments, and most if not all people will go to the more established host first. If that established hosts were hosting two or three Tournaments, then a new host would never be able to get a game off the ground because everyone would be busy with the other games. For the most part we really only have either Games regulars or people who only frequent one Tournament.

Exactly, I mean technically the rules at the moment state you're only allowed 1 thing open - whether it be a tournament, MC or survivor. So it's not like the rules are getting more strict, we'd actually be allowing members to open up more Games than the current rules allow. (Which nobody follows)

I think he means to evaluate the potential host before the album survivor starts to see if he/she are the right fit for that album survivor.

I wouldn't expect anyone to be capable of hosting that many games. I would say maybe a maximum of like 3 MCs and a tournament, before someone would lose their mind. I don't think over-saturation of the Games section should be a concern, mostly because it is already under-appreciated and not used as much as it could be.

Yeah, I don't think anyone has the time to do that, plus what exactly are the requirements to make you a "good" survivor host?
It's not so much that people aren't good hosts, it's more so about being fair and letting other people have a chance. People who sprint to reserve every big release and take like 5 reservations up is just messy and unfair tbh.

Right, and that's the major problem. People treat this section like the Knockturn Alley of ATRL (if you get the reference I <3 u), and they try to stay away. It's not so much the hosts, but the lack of players. I think if we can encourage non-regulars to join veteran games, we can get a good influx of people. And umich is doing really well as a first time host. He got a lot of attention to his game!

Sorry Cupid Im not that articulate in English/worded it weirdly...
Yeah if the album Survivors shall be moderated...its best to analyze first the hosts...because as an avid host for Album Survivors since 2009..Ive noticed there are just some members who reserve such survivors but when they start it..they abandon such album survivors which isnt really cool....Im sure Remmy isnt guilty of this (sorry for calling ha out)...and if the host can manage like 3-4 album survivors (like me..prezli..etc) then fine as long as he managed it well succesfully and FINISH it..Its like in Muslim culture ..a man can have as many wives as long one has the money to sustain and support..I might be biased since I love hosting a lot of survivors OF ARTISTS I ONLY LOVE... But I think ..if a certain member likes to really reserve an album survivor..he or she must be perched on the Album Reservation thread if an official release date is announced. (See sumthintoxic82 with Leona's album survivor reservation, KillingYourCareer...they are alert and vigilant always.)

That's not really related to the main point of my post. Also umich is an exception given he's a very established and renowned member.
Let's say you hosted two big Tournaments and a bunch of Games regulars were playing them. When a new host starts a game (someone who's not already a big host or big member in general) people won't sign up because they're already busy with the other games. Lots of people want to host Tournaments, it's spreading the love a little.
Outside of new members there's no possibility of a sudden influx of new Gamers. That's just a reality, we always talk about getting new members in this section and it doesn't happen that often.

This is a great point. It's very difficult to host a game without a base in the Games section/some form of title. Makes it harder to get newer members in here, and then we end up with 138393 seasons of the established games instead of new ones.

Like I said though, we're going to put in protocol for anybody who abandons a Game. So even if that does happen, somebody else will be able to take over. I don't think it's really fair to analyse a person and decide if they're good enough to host a survivor or not. - Things like that will stop new people coming to the Games section. New members should be allowed to host an album survivor, even if they aren't the best host, at least they can open one up and learn as they go along.
Obviously the details aren't worked out yet, we're not going to stop people from opening up Games, but there will more than likely be a limit on how many you can have open at a time.

I understand what you mean, and it's a totally valid point. But that could also be resolved by having more than just the regular Gamers take a look at the new game.
I am extremely thankful that Let's Spoon ended up taking off really well as a new host last summer, but I've seen many new games that have not gotten off the ground at all.
