Of course this happens the week before I'm going for the first time. Could you imagine being on that ride and slamming into that person full speed? Talk about ****ing scary.
I love roller coasters, so these stories always terrify me.
I went to Six Flags in Dallas TX like a month ago, and a week after we went a woman died on one of the rides I was on. Her seat lever thing wasn't tight enough, she slipped out and fell straight below onto the tracks.
This particular victim was asking for it tho. Why try to play armadillo with a rollercoaster?

I don't see any news stories covering that incident, so it was probably just a rumor.
I live in the Cedar Point state and it's amazing. I wish I could feel bad but like, areas are off-limits for a reason so the blame is on him/her. RIP though, very sad
I've heard of this happening at amusement parks before with people attempting to go under rides to look for lost belongings that fell while they were on rides and so on -- so, so dangerous and stupid. Still sad tho...RIP.
I feel really bad for the the people that were riding the train that struck the guy. Raptor is an inverted coaster so someone may have actually touched him and kind of kicked him to death. I hope they aren't completely traumatized. I also hope this kind of bad publicity doesn't affect the park too much, especially when they are about to announce their new coaster.
Areas are closed off for a reason and this is an example of what can happen if you don't follow protocol. RIP to the person who died though.
Cedar Point is one of the best amusement parks on the planet still.
Cedar Point is arguably the best amusement park I have ever been to. I feel bad for the person that died, but restricted areas are restricted for a reason. RIP.
