Both the norm of 'being straight' and gender roles can be argued to have been constructed and/or based on judgements.

I fail to see how a gay man, of all people, suggests men and women should be certain things, act in particular ways and dress differently.

Why are you trying to make it look like that's a bad thing? If you don't agree with or support gender roles then that's valid too, but don't try to pull the self-hating card simply because I DO embrace them.
