CIL was just another big song of the hip hop era

Fact. Why wouldn't people remember a song they actually want to listen to?
If the song wasn't remembered nor iconic no one would have asked for a new version of the song nor would they have asked for a cover in 2013's The Great Gatsby. If Beyonce didn't have CIL among other remembered hits, why would anyone ask her to perform a bunch of songs they didn't know? If she didn't have relevant/remembered hits, no one would be asking Beyonce to do anything in 2015 - almost 20 years after her initial debut.

I don't care enough to argue your post because I never stated that ''Crazy In Love'' wasn't remembered like you're trying to prove.
It's sales, streams, and AI clearly garnered a lot from those two projects.

The only thing that made impact was the oh oh, which makes the songs catchy, but that can be said about any big song
Nor the song, or video or even the choreo are iconic

But why would any label or production company want a 12 year old song on their soundtrack if it wouldn't attract buyers (you know because it's iconic and remembered) when they could easily yank a song from the top 40 and throw it on there.
The same could be said by Toxic, except it isn't true in CIL's case.

Sweetie there's still people using the diamond suit costume every Halloween, like 2014 was full of it.
Nothing about CIL is that iconic. The song was big, but neither the choreo, the costumes or the video made any real impact. It was a cute big hit that is being performed like a new song this decade. That's it!

Why do you keep bringing up the fact that "Crazy in Love" was recently featured in two major movies when that only proves how iconic and remembered it is? Jay Z was the music producer for Gatsby and is a known "Toxic" stan, so why didn't he have someone cover that? "Toxic"'s lyrics apply more to Fifty Shades than "Crazy in Love" does, so why did Universal not only feature "CIL" in it, but ask Bey to record a new version to create more buzz for the film?

But there weren't any songs that sounded like it before it was released, like you claimed earlier. I wanna see receipts.

If you'll notice, I bolded your claims that the song and choreography are iconic, not the video.
What is iconic about "Toxic" the song or its choreography? I don't even have a vague idea of what the "Toxic" choreography looked like off the top of my head.

''Jay Z was the music producer for Gatsby''
Now it all makes sense.

Because Beyoncé is a big celebrity right now and she's at the peak of her career? Obviously her label is still investing a lot on her placements.
And I'm not saying the song is not remembered, is just it has a huge advantage over toxic, which was really really bigger than CIL last decade.

Maybe because there was no choreo in the video
Anyways, the diamond-encrusted nude bodysuit she wore in the video is more iconic and more impactful than CIL video in its entirety.

OK, but "Crazy in Love" is the only Beyoncé song featured. He had his wife cover an old Amy Winehouse song. The only song of his on the soundtrack is an original he wrote specifically for the film.
You've done nothing to explain the inclusion of Fergie, Lana Del Rey, Gotye, and Sia, and the exclusion of Britney.

Don't clock her like this she won't be able to have a valid response.

1. Ok, so we've established that you can't name any specific songs that CIL sounds like.
2. Why is it one of the only "big hip hop" songs still used & referenced today?
Do you ever think what you type before typing it? You should.

Toxic didn't have choreo, so that can't be discussed, and the song made more impact than anything the pop world released last decade, the only ones that were on that comparable level were Umbrella, Bad Romance and Oops I did it again.

Obviously in that aspect we're saying the same thing.
BUT
Prior to 2013 with TGG and the SB and prior to 2014 with 50SOG, the song was still very remembered 10 years+ after it's initial release. If it wasn't very remembered then, there would be no need to put them on the soundtrack now. That's all I'm saying.
Some members are trying to act like the song was a big hit that has no impact and was brought back to life with big promo and label negotiations.
