Thoughts on the album? I only caught the last few tracks on The Highway album premiere earlier today. I hope the rest of it sounds more promising... :/

He ended up not releasing a video

That is the current single.

It is more mature and more country. While it might be a good look for a 39 year old, I still prefer most of his older sounds. I think T&T remains my favorite album but KTL is better in terms of consistency, depth and truth to his genre.

I either want his next record to continue getting more emotional and more country (still holding out hope for a "Desperado" or "Thunder Rolls)" or I want him to take back the bro-country with some quality country-pop. I'll do reviews on the tracks tomorrow.

In the meantime, you all should visit the Base, too

Just Over, Love It Gone, Way Way Back, Kill The Lights are my favorites
Solid album, though not my favorite. I haven't heard the Target tracks yet

The way the album picks up after the first 2 boring 'TMKON' rewrites >>>
Literally every song from track 3 onwards is cute (ok 'Love It Gone' and 'Huntin', Fishin' and Lovin' Every Day' are boring too).
And 'Way Way Back' is also such a 'TMKON' re-write, but much more successful @ it.
Lots of familiar-sounding, straight-faced balladry, but so melodic and effortless.
'To The Moon And Back' is some kind of CLASSIC.

Listening to it now, and loving 'Strip it Down.'
