Not sure if my mother screeches the siren's song when she shouts my name, but I always hear her calling me when she's NOT. Tired of pulling out my earphones and waiting for that 2nd call.

I just stopped my music and shouted, "what!?" and realized my mom didn't call, nor was she home at all, nobody is home. I'm so embarrassed/scared rn, comfort me.

Happened to me sometimes. It's quite scary. But it's like our brains create it.

I've been told I talk to people that aren't there but like I'm not going to take some stranger from the bus stop's word for it.

YES, I ALWAYS hear people calling me or things ringing when I've got my headphones in.

Maybe it is our subconscious telling us to stop what we are doing and do something more productive.

That never happens to me but I always hear/feel my phone vibrate when it doesn't. There's actually a word for it now because it's so common in people with smartphone addictions, aka everyone.
