Can Luke, Dre, or maybe The Weeknd join?
I am surprised 21 did not have more 200 thousand plus weeks.
I couldn't find the breakdown of Luke's 528k first week total in 2013, but I do think having physical copies out helped him.
And we will never know how many of those that bought a physical copy in that week would have bought a digital copy if it would have been digital only. But having if available at more places is certainly better.
The latest numbers have Luke Bryan's Kill the Lights retaining its lead, but Dr. Dre's Compton gaining—particularly, you will not be surprised to hear, in the streaming arena. We are now projecting total Dre streams of 25m. Here's how it looks right now:
Luke Bryan (Capitol Nashville) 315-325k albums, 335-340k SPS
Dr. Dre (Aftermath/Interscope) 290-300k, 320-330k
