I admire what they're doing, but it's never really a good thing to put someone (that isn't a legislative or administrative entity) on the spot publicly to support a cause. It's very awkward -- I'm pretty sure Bey definitely agrees with what they're trying to accomplish, but it may not be something that she necessarily has the time to undertake and taking away her option to privately decline giving an endorsement for whatever reason is quite awkward and a bit inconsiderate.

Of course it's her hometown so the LGBT Community there would look up to her.

I have to commend Beyonce for her LGBT support. I used to be hard on her and ask her gay stans why they supported her when she didn't support them. But she really showed her support when she took the time out to film a video for marriage equality. I mean, it could have been yet another stunt for Tidal. I mean, this is Beyonce and she went to Matthew Knowles' school of media training, so she knows how to cry for a buck, but yes, I commend her for that. Now where is Rihanna's support?!
