Sugababes have been forced to temporarily cancel promotion for their new single 'Get Sexy' after band members Heidi Range and Amelle Berrabah were diagnosed with a "severe bout of flu".
The group, who premiered the new single earlier this month on Radio 1, will resume their schedule once medical staff give the pair the all-clear.
"They've been instructed to take at least a week off before a reassessment and so will unfortunately be out of action for at least the next seven days," a statement reads.
Heidi Range expressed her discomfort on her Twitter blog over the weekend, saying: "In a very bad mood 2day! Got the day off and had lots planned but not well so have had to stay at home on the sofa instead."
The group are yet to confirm whether the illness is linked to the current H1N1 swine flu virus, which has so far infected over 125,000 people worldwide.
Meanwhile, fellow band member Keisha Buchanan confirmed on Twitter that she knew friends who had contracted the virus.
"Wow... Someone i know has swine flu... Get well soon hun :-( We'll laugh about it when ur all better.. Im already thinking of nick names lol," she wrote.
the babes are pretty much done since mutya left imo.
They have, but, thier first single from 'Change'- 'About You Now' did great in the UK. However that single did crap in europe and most likely the US if it was released there.
