I don't follow businesses much but in my life time I've never seen a company dominate so much with such expensive products. Computers, phones, music, tablets and watches, it's dominance is absolutely incomparable.

Apple is the most valuable company in the world.

Apple is the biggest company in the world, but not ever. Standard Oil, South Sea Company, Dutch East India Company, etc.

It is a fact that it is not. John D. Rockefeller's standard oil was when you take into account inflation.

It's by far the biggest in terms of market cap, but in revenue it'd probably still rank below Exxon Mobil, Wal-Mart and a bunch of other oil/gas conglomerates.

Doesn't Apple have bigger cash reserves than any tech company in history? It's almost $180 billion.
