Because it would be pretty obvious that they were faking it if that happened use your brain sis, and it would be pretty bad for his image and hers if he splitted with her the second he leaves 1D. now the only one who can realize this is just his fandom and not the gp so it's ok and is good promo for LM so they don't care.
