The House and Senate won't go along with Hillary's ideas. There is zero chance they will listen to Bernie.
It's easy to point to Sweden, a country of less than 10 million people, and say look they are doing it right. They also don't have a huge external expenditures like the US does on military with NATO, we are required to spend 2% of our GDP on military, and our NATO obligations alone are greater than the total GDP of Sweden.
Maybe we can cut other programs that countries like Sweden don't have, how about NOAA, that would save $5.5 billion a year, NASA $17 billion right there. There are dozens of programs all of which are funded in the billions we could cut.
Doing it would weaken our country and make the world a more dangerous place. You can't compare countries with populations under 10 million to a country that is 320 million and expect their systems to work here. It's a Liberal fantasy.
