Hard tbh. I can never get the right angle, and when I do, the lighting is never right. It's rare that I can get a shot that I actually like, which is why I hate it when other people try to take my picture. I can barely get my face right when I can see the screen, let alone when I can't.
Hard. I used to feel bad about it and then I realized that phone cameras flatter certain faces but make a lot of faces look awful if you have a pointier face it's hard to look good on narrower angled lenses

but on my phone camera i look horrid like 90% of the time

Even when I take it in front of the mirror and check my face, the end result is horrid.
