I even prefer independent reviews, because they are more likely to be unbiased. Anything that is published by a business can be influenced by politics, marketing and money.
Take Future's DS2 for example. The album is horrible, worthless trash. But critics had to praise it because they had already dragged Tyga the month before. If they drag hip hop too much they will be called racist.

That's precisely why I
like The Singles Jukebox. They're all music writers but there's no score jockeying because the site itself is too minor for anyone to try to manipulate the site's clout and they don't get paid for their writing, either. They don't even have advertising. There's better, more impartial, and more diverse (i.e. input from more than just straight, white men) writing there than in most "legitimate" music publications.

I find it hard to believe there won't be though. I even see Sucker on vinyl every time I go to Urban Outfitters (not often, mind).
