I have a question and I'm wondering if you guys can help me. So, I was dueling my friend on duelnetwork and he summonsed Flamvell Firedog. He made it attack my monster which also had 1900 ATK, so both were destroyed. Does the Flamvell Firedog's effect still activate, because even though it destroyed my monster, it was also destroyed too? I let him use its effect since i couldn't find anything online to suggest it didn't.

No. Because it was destroyed, it cannot activate its effect. Basically, Flamvell Firedog needs to remain on the field to resolve its effect. But it was sent to the graveyard at the same time as the other monster.

Firedog's effect is a Continuous effect, so it needs to be on the field in order to be activated. So its effect doesn't work in a Double KO.
No. Because it was destroyed, it cannot activate its effect. Basically, Flamvell Firedog needs to remain on the field to resolve its effect. But it was sent to the graveyard at the same time as the other monster.

Cool, I knew I was right but wasn't too sure since I haven't come across Flamvell monsters before or monsters with similar effects. Thank you for your help!
Ugh, I want to buy Legacy of the Duelist right now but I don't trust PSN's security with my card.

My good sis, the PSN is secure. I've used it for 2.5 years now and have never had a problem. Even better, you can have a setting where you have to input your password everytime you buy something, in case you're still worried about it. It should be fine.
