I've heard of some people saying 'straight' to avoid discrimination or they're in the closet - but are you honest or you don't think it's anyone's business who you're attracted to?
EDIT: Oh okay, I just realised this isn't really common. Was applying for jobs and they asked me for 'survery reasons' (Primark if anyone knows the store). I'm a female but I'm in the mix of being straight or bi sexual. Not sure yet.

I think I said I'm gay a few times however its so weird just to be asked that question.

I've never encountered an application that has asked for my sexual orientation, where are you applying ? Besides not hiring someone based off sexual orientation is against the law, any form of discrimination really.

No job I've ever applied to has asked this. Pretty sure it's illegal in Canada. And thank god.

Over here they are not allowed to ask that, just like they are not really allowed to ask if you want children (especially females) but people are allowed to lie about it here if they do ask

You live in London and you've applied for jobs asking for sexual orientation? I live in the UK too and I've never seen that anywhere I actually thought it was illegal.
