Which union has the greatest/most iconic automotive and high fashion industries?

Remember certain companies - such as DKNY and Chrysler - originated in America but have since been acquired by European firms.

Even though Tom Ford was born and raised in America, I would hardly qualify him as an "American designer". He had to leave America to be understood and find success in fashion and hasn't been based in the US since 1990, long before his big break. He's somewhere in the middle between American and European fashion.

That 'whole continent' is actually half the size of the US tho..
