Remember when Fall Out Boy released "My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark" out of nowhere? It was a surprise release that no one was expecting because the band wagon son hiatus and no one knew they were back together and were gonna release new music. Unlike other "artists" and they surprise releases that people were actually expecting new music from so it really wasn't a surprise because well we knew new music was coming.

Let's not forget My Songs was released at the beggining of the year while other surprise releases were released at the end of 2013

It's a well known fact that Fall Out Boy pulled a Beyonce before Beyonce pulled a Beyonce. They even have videos for every song on Save Rock and Roll. She totally stole their idea.

She didn't. Suprise releases happened before, but Beyoncé did it with a bang and nobody but her could have done it and pull it off so well and succesful, with so much cultural impact. Selftitled is the reason we got Friday releases for music globally and why so many other people including 1D dare to completely suprise release their music. FOB's attempt was cute, but they have not even reached an inch of the impact and succes selftitled has.

And Beyoncé always has done a lot in the visual department for her albums. The B'Day Video Anthology, the video for Why Don't You Love Me, the various video's she shot for 4 etc. etc. etc.

Selftitled just put everything is perspective and everything together what she already build in the past of her career. A visual album was only the next logical step in her careerpath.

Too bad FOB's music is more respected by critics. Just look at their consistency on Metacritic. Bey can only get acclaim when she uses gimmicks like surprise releases. Poor that.

Fall Out Boy released a surprise single in February of 2013 and other surprises releases were in December 2013? So Fall Out Boy did the surprise release first therefore it's called pulling a Fall Out Boy. Why is so complicated? Why are people so stupid that can't understand that?

Yet even almost two years after that "gimmick" the album is still talked about and acclaimed while no one remembers Fall Out the Chart's last album
