This graph represents the number of people incarcerated by race per 100,000 people.
In case you're curious, according to that graph and using numbers from the 2010 Census Racial Demographics Report about 803,550 white people and 764,906 black people were incarcerated. The numbers are strikingly close together despite there being less than one black person for every five white people but I guess that's not as relevant.
My point is, you have equal numbers of prisoners, relatively. But in these cases there's suspected foul play and racist motives. There would be no racist motives in cases with white people.
There's literally no reason why more white men would have committed suicide (or, rather, "committed suicide") in their jail cells.

I actually just assumed there were more since most the major criminals you hear about seem to be white males it feels like, but yeah okay completely wrong

Clock me! I think the issue is that I was thinking the really extreme cases vs. more "regular" ones
That said, your stats slightly confuse me. One is saying there's SLIIIIIGHTLY more white prisoners but they're pretty equal whereas another says WAY more blacks are arrested. I'm sure it's obvious once you get it, but I'm tired so I'm not quite following. Would you mind clarifying?
As for these cases, I'm
always skeptical of what media say about things being race inspired, and here's why. They care about ratings (and they ALL have agendas, just because Fox can be.... A lot more in your face with its agenda doesn't mean others don't have them either) And what story is going to get better ratings? "Black woman keep dying in prison! RACISM!!!!!!!" or "Prisoners kills herself." I have heard the Sandra Bland case which seems genuinely off, but a lot of these other ones we really don't seem to know tons about (based on the thread) and haven't been given a strong reason to think they're anything but suicide, nor do we have statistics of prison suicides for other races at the moment (so we can't say if it's disproportionately skewed to more black women dying or not)
I'm not saying it's impossible for racism to be linked here, I just think people need to wait a minute for all the proof before acting like its fact.

Posts like this are why we need mandatory suicide/depression education. So much ignorance SMH.
While, obviously, it is the victim who actually decides (under extreme duress, stress, hopelessness, sadness, and depression) to try to commit suicide, people
CAN be responsible for pushing them to that point (for example, extreme bullying) or not setting up proper protective measures to avoid suicide in the first place (what happened here)
