Don't get me wrong...I saw last year's five Drama Lead Actress nominees repeat...I just didn't see Moss over Jones and Paquin...Moss definitely deserves this nod much more than at least 80% of the repeated nominees

Jim Parsons and Sandra Oh
Justin Timberlake nominated for Guest Actor in a Comedy Series and Family Guy nominated for Best Comedy Series
I read that The Simpsons were submitted for Comedy Series in 1993 and 1994 (two of their best years) and the Emmys snubbed them.
After that they started to submit to outstanding animated program again. They have won 10 Emmys in the category of outstanding animated program but a nomination for Best Comedy Series would have been great for them too.

I'm still relatively shocked at "Family Guy" getting a nomination for Best Comedy Series. When I first saw that it was missing from the "Outstanding Animated Series" category I thought it had gotten snubbed, but then I saw it on the "Outstanding Comedy Series" field and thought, "Hmm... That must feel like a real slap in the face of The Simpsons"
Oh, and congrats to Kathy Griffin being nominated twice again this year. "My Life on the D-List" is sure to take away "Outstanding Reality Program" with "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" not nominated this year... And she might have a shot at "Outstanding Variety Special" now that she's not going against George Carlin or Don Rickles.

Yes, Katherine Heigl was snubbed! YAY! Sandra Oh and Chandra Wilson both deserve it more, and also, DEATH at her "mom" being nominated.

WTF at Family Guy being nominated for Best Comedy Series. It doesn't matter how good some people think it is, I mean, come on!
Anywayz, right now I'm just TOO pissed about FNL being snubbed on the acting and drama series categories, so I won't even comment anything else.

Friday Night Lights is amazing. But the Emmys are never going to give the recognition they deserve

Right? FNL is amazing. That whole cast should be nominated lol. The Emmy's are like a popularity contest now anyways, so I'm not too surprised. But it kind of stinks.
I also wish True Blood hadn't been snubbed.

It always has been. Lauren Graham's continual snubs prove that.

'Offensive' Kathy Griffin to host Creative Arts Emmys
Over the last two years, Kathy Griffin has blasphemed Jesus and dropped F-bombs while accepting awards at the Creative Arts Emmys, but she will officially preside over the event at Nokia Theatre on Sept. 12. Even though the TV academy has publicly denounced her performance at the podium as "offensive" in the past, she will host the ceremony that she frequently mocks as the "Schmemmys." The Creative Arts Emmys are a target for jokes because they honor mostly technicians, makeup artists and other crafts workers at a low-profile gala held prior to the main Emmy bash telecast on network TV.
Kathy Griffin host emmys Neil Patrick Harris
In 2008 and 2007, while nominated at the Schmemmys, Kathy Griffin's Bravo show, "My Life on the D-List," won best reality program and probably would've skated to easy victory again this year if not for the breakout success of "Jon and Kate Plus 8," which will probably nab its first nomination this Thursday. While presiding as host, will Griffin erupt in a tirade of F-bombs is she loses? Or if she wins?
When she triumphed in 2007, Kathy Griffin's acceptance speech caused major hubbub: "A lot of people come up here and thank Jesus for this award. I want you to know that no one had less to do with this award than Jesus." Then she added: "Hell has frozen over. ... it, Jesus. This award is my god now!"
TV academy chiefs issued a statement denouncing her remarks as "offensive," and they were heavily censored when her win was shown on the edited version of the ceremony aired by E! Entertainment network.
When she won in 2008, she dropped lots of F-bombs that were also edited out of taped version of the show aired later on E!: "Well, well, well! Here we go again . . . . Here we go again!" Looking around the auditorium, she acknowledged some celebs in the audience, adding, "Hanks, Gandolfini — what the … ! I'm not going to tell anyone to ... it. I would make love to this thing if I could."
In her recent webcam chat with Gold Derby, Griffin confessed that she believed she was relatively tame at the Schmemmys last year because she was permitted to appear on the main telecast with Don Rickles. Now that she's accomplished that and is back at the Schmemmys, this time as host, will she aim for maximum outrage again? She's so desperate to win again, she told us, "I'll trade my mother for a third Emmy!"

I'm relatively surprised by this, I must say...

I was hoping maybe Battlestar Galactica would maybe sorta kinda get a real nomination. Well, there's directing but they'll obviously lose to Mad Men so hopefully the tech awards can go their way. *sigh* poor Mary McDonnell and Edward James Olmos and Tricia Helfer and James Callas and Grace Park and Dean Stockwell - all of which should have gotten nods (Mary in Lead Actress over Mariska, Edward in Lead over that guy from The Mentalist, Dean in Guest Actor over Ernest Borgnine, Tricia and/or Grace for Support Actress over Rose Byrne &/or Dianne Wiest and James in Support Actor over The Shatner). Would have been nice for a ****ing change.
