Eva Longoria Blasts Australian Reporter

Spectacles [spokeswoman] and American actress Eva Longoria is seeing red over claims made in an Australian newspaper that she is a serial sell-out who does not actually wear glasses.
The former Desperate Housewife fired the starting gun on Instagram, blasting Fairfax Media entertainment writer Jenna Clarke over this column which accused Longoria of marketing budget eyewear despite being someone who "doesn't wear spectacles".
But the actress was snapped wearing glasses outside the Hotel Centennial in Woollahra ahead of a promotional event for Specsavers. According to the article, Longoria was "a serial offender when it comes to selling out in a not so subtle way", having also been an ambassador for DINE cat food in 2012 despite not owning a [cat]. The 40-year-old retorted that she has, in fact, worn reading glasses for two years, "long before Specsavers called me". Longoria noted that she first realised her sight was deteriorating while studying for her master's degree in 2013 and as evidence posted a triptych of pictures of her bespectacled self. [...]
"Next time you want to write an article calling someone 'shameful' why don't you do your research because that is your responsibility as a 'journalist'," she wrote.
