As Mariah Carey makes headlines over her latest relationship with billionaire James Packer, the singer’s troubled sister is reportedly locked up in a New York hospital!
RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned that former prostitute Alison Carey, 54, was placed in the facility after suffering a severe head injury in a mysterious home attack three months prior.
Alison claimed that a mystery man stole jewelry from her apartment, and she woke up with a three-inch gash in the back of her head and a busted mouth.
“I don’t remember getting in a car with this person, and I don’t remember going to my house. But I remember being at my house and he was taking my jewelry,” she said.
After that, Alison – a reported heroin addict – was placed in a Long Island psychiatric ward. The mother-of-four soon reached out to Radar, claiming she was being held against her will, and her famous sister had done nothing about it.
“I need a lawyer to get me out of this hospital because there is no reason to keep me in here for three months,” Alison said in the exclusive interview.
Alison also claimed that when she refused to take a sedative at the hospital, staffers allegedly restrained her, and injured her rib cage in the process, saying: “They beat the living sh*t out of me that night!”
At the end of her interview, Alison begged: “Please tell Mariah to get me out of here! She must know what’s happened to me! I want out!”

I didn't even know Mariah had a sister who was a heroin addict.
And to be fair, what exactly can Mariah do??? If her sister needs help in hospital, they aren't gonna just do anything Mariah Carey tells them to.

Like with Madonna's siblings.. Mariah doesn't have to do anything. She's tried over the years as Madonna has.. sometimes tough love is the best course of action.

Mariah's closest family is a mess:
Positive & Good: Patricia Carey (mother) - still close to Mariah
Morgan Carey: family outcast, former suspect in a murder case, lashed out to Mariah, claiming she was addicted to prescription drugs and was mentally ill (2015). Mariah cut all contact with him in 2013
Alison Carey: HIV+, prostitute between late 80's until 2005. Multiple arrests. Drug addict. Lost custody for 2 of her children to Patrica Carey in the mid 90's.
Mariah's stepfather: Patricia Carey's 2nd husband.. sued Mariah for money in the 90's, claiming he financed her early career, acted as if he was her manager back then. No contact since the early 90's.
Positive character:
Alfred Roy Carey: Mariah's father.. passed away in 2002. They reunited in 2002 before his death. She dedicated the CB album to him.
Shawn Carey and his brother Michael Carey: one of which is a Harvard Law School graduate, both lived with her and Patricia.. both have regular contact with her to this day.

Her father passed away? Wow, I'm a flop stan. I knew Sunflowers for Alfred Roy was dedicated to him but I had no idea he was gone. Such a beautiful song.

he (Alfred Roy) died on 4th of July 2002. Mariah reconciled with him a few months prior and is believed to have been at his side when he passed away due to cancer.
He even kept many articles abt her and showed them to her.. and they pretty much re-united in his final weeks.
The thing was... Alison lived with her father when the parents got divorced while Patty took Mariah. Morgan was old enough back then to live on his own. Mariah & Alison however stayed best of friends during their early adulthood. Alison was Mariah's maid of honor in 1993. Their relationship grew sour soon after that. In 1994 the media jumped at Alison for being HIV+ and a hooker.
Patricia and Mariah then filed for custody of Mchael (Alison's then youngest son). He even appeared in Glitter in 2001. (had a cameo). <3
Mariah stayed best of friends with her brother for a very long time.. he even helped her during her divorce from Tommy and helped her move out.
Idk why and when exacrly they fell out. In 2013 Mariah and Morgan still posed for a pic together.. but a few weeks ago when he claimed that Mariah was suicidal and a heavy drug addict he said that he has not seen her in the past 2 years.
But good to know that even tho they do not have contact, he knows abt her emotional state. *ir*

Thanks for all this info! I feel bad for Alison. What a sad life. I can only imagine how stressful all of this has been for Mariah.
