How does a SMS message have media in it? SMS is limited to text and 160 characters per message.
Once you go beyond that you would need to split out the message and go to MMS, if you add media you would have to go to MMS. So maybe if you are doing quick short texts you are fine but that's not the problem, someone could send you a MMS and your app will still pick it up.
