Well, the way it works, as i've learned recently, is if you reach a point in your career where things are going very well, public perception needs a "Yeah, but..". And I resent that. That there has to be some downside to your personality or lifestyle if you're a woman and successful
Swift is nowhere near enough to the edge of a cliff for any sort of insurmountable downfall — her album is still No. 2 on the charts nine months after release. But she is at the very, very top, which by the infallible laws of simple common sense is unsustainable.
It sucks but when you're at the top you're going to have a lot of people trying to bring you down.

I mean my dislike for her aside, it's crazy how the gp and the media [mostly the media] will ride for an artist to hell and back and then once they're too big, they start these lil smear campaigns. They did it to Bey [at one point], they did it to Gaga and many many more. It's just funny
It's so alarming how quick people and the media will turn on a celebrity.
US iTunes
4. 1989
76. Red
114. Fearless
134. Speak Now
157. Taylor Swift
Not charting in the top 200: Beyoncé, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Kesha, Britney Spears, Lana Del Rey, Justin Timberlake, Eminem, Pink, Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato
Taylor Swift is the only one of ATRL's faves whose career I'm not worried about.
Anyways... her image might've taken a hit but her music is more popular than ever and her albums are climbing iTunes. She'll recover no matter how many think-pieces are written.
