he is, its been known that he's been depressed ever since his wife died. the reason why "Taken" had so many films was because he took the process of making all those films as a coping mechanism and a distraction, as well as all the films he's been acting in (hence why a lot of them include the same subject matter e.g. A Walk Among The Tombstones, Run All Night, Third Person etc.)
