STAR ON THE HOLLYWOOD WALK OF FAME

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that singer Mariah Carey will be honored with the 2,556th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on August 5, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. PDT. The star in the category of Recording will be dedicated in front of the W Hollywood Hotel at 6270 Hollywood Boulevard.
Helping emcee and Hollywood Chamber President/CEO Leron Gubler to unveil the star will be celebrity guest speakers, LA Reid, Lee Daniels, and Brett Ratner. “Finally, all questions regarding when Mariah Carey will be honored with a star are answered! Fans have repeatedly asked us when their favorite singer would be honored, and now is the time! We are thrilled that we can add one of the world’s biggest talents to our Walk of Fame,” stated Ana Martinez, Producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremonies.
I mean, it's not like they matter. There has to be $30,000 raised under your name, and you have to be approved/selected by a committee. It's ultimately just them making some quick coins by fooling people into thinking it's essential to have one.
